Fraser Walk For Autism
Presented by BMO Harris Bank
Over 2,000 people gathered at the Mall of America this past Saturday, April 12 for the Fraser Walk for Autism, presented by BMO Harris Bank. Together our walkers, corporate sponsors, and volunteers helped raise $115,000 for Fraser Autism Services!
Walkers enjoyed performances by River Valley Dance Academy, BMO Harris Bank's Slide, therapy animals, and sensory-friendly face painting by Cindy’s Creative Celebrations. If you missed the Walk, you can still make a donation in support of the event.
Congratulations to our Top Fundraising Team, “Never Forget Nellie,” that was led by Margret Martodam and John Hawley. They raised over $12,500 in memory of John’s wife Jenelle and in honor of their son Tyler. We would also like to thank the winners of the Top Corporate Team Challenge, Team Cahill, for raising over $4,000 for Fraser Autism Services.
A big thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, BMO Harris Bank for helping to make this event a huge success!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 18 for the 2015 Fraser Walk for Autism.
Go the Extra Mile with Walser
Walser helped Fraser ‘Go the Extra Mile’ by continuing the efforts of the morning’s Walk in Macy’s Court. Walkers of all ages jumped on treadmills to meet the challenge of walking one mile in less than 21 minutes – each completed mile received a $21 donation from Walser—to help bring awareness to the alarming figure that every 21 minutes a child is diagnosed with autism.
myTalk 107.1's Colleen & Bradley, WCCO’s Nina Moini, Miss Minnesota Rebecca Yeh, former Miss Minnesota Jennifer Hudspeth Johnson and Fraser President and CEO Diane Cross were some of the featured celebrities to kick off Go the Extra Mile. In the end, 60 miles were completed raising more than $5,000 for Fraser Autism Services! Thanks to Walser our presenting sponsor along with Athleta, STEELE Fitness, Microsoft, Tervis, and Venture Photography for making this such a wonderful event!
