Autism Day Treament
Fraser Autism Day Treatment has a 20-year history of experience and success, helping children develop adaptive coping, problem-solving and social skills so that they can regulate their emotions and better control their behavior. The program is offered five days per week, for 3 hours per day. Intervention is provided one-to-one or through small group activities. Autism Day Treatment serves children 2-6 years old. Class sizes are small, with 4-10 children depending upon the group. The program is directed by a licensed psychologist, and outcome data is collected daily and reviewed weekly. Fraser employs experienced mental health practitioners who have bachelor’s or master’s degrees, plus a minimum of 2,000 hours of experience in delivery of mental health services. Developmental trainees also support the individualized intervention. Staff receive 20-30 hours of continuing education each year.

Our developmental curriculum emphasizes:

- Coping and self-regulation
- Adaptive behavior and awareness of safety
- Independent and interactive play
- Functional imitation
- Functional communication
- Using memory strengths to help with cognitive processing of abstract concepts
- Functional adaptive academic skills
Case management or care coordination services are included, which assist a family in accessing, coordinating and benefitting from services.
Locations: This program is currently offered in our Fraser Minneapolis, Fraser School (Richfield), Fraser Anoka, Fraser Eden Prairie and Fraser Eagan locations.
Payment/Funding: All major commercial health insurance plans, Medical Assistance and private pay are accepted. We are also able to provide limited services for uninsured Hennepin County residents. Clients may have financial responsibility for co-pays or deductibles. We encourage you to call your insurance company to find out what your benefits are for the services Fraser has recommended.
