Ben and Maya’s Story
When our son, Ben, turned three years old, we thought it would be a good idea to get him some peer interaction and work on his social skills. Fraser School seemed like the perfect fit. Ben could meet and play with children his own age and get the therapeutic services he needed at one location. Soon after we adopted him, we began taking Ben to multiple appointments for therapeutic services at numerous offices throughout the Twin Cities.
At Fraser, Ben was able to play with children, make friends and get therapy services, like physical therapy. He was also part of Learn Talk Play, an innovative small group rehabilitation program for children with social, communication and emotional regulation needs. Ben currently receives occupational and speech therapy, which is incorporated into his days at Fraser School.
When we adopted our daughter, Maya, we knew right away we wanted her at Fraser School too. We love that there is a primary caregiver assigned to Maya. The staff are very experienced and involved in what each child is doing. It takes a lot of stress off us knowing there are people watching our children who care about them like we do.
Ben is growing in his confidence and becoming more outgoing and social. We can’t say enough positive things about Fraser School and the staff. The philosophy, inclusive environment and quality of staff have far exceeded our expectations.
