What do 2026 tax changes mean for you?

By Diane S. Cross, Fraser President & CEO • January 13, 2026

When filing taxes without itemization, single filers can now deduct up to $1,000 in charitable giving and married couples filing jointly can deduct up to $2,000. Prior to this change, only those itemizing their tax deducations were able to take advantage of the tax benefits. This shift means the perks of charitable giving are now more accessible than ever before.
