Fraser School® is licensed by the MN Department of Human Services and has been awarded the highest possible rating of four stars by Parent Aware, Minnesota’s Quality Rating System. Fraser School is also accredited through the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) Council and Commission. We are a nationally recognized nonprofit that provides an innovative, inclusive environment for children of all abilities and their families.

Approximately 1/3 of our students having autism, intellectual or physical disability, or mental health needs.

Fraser School® is co-located with Fraser’s clinical services, including rehabilitation therapy (speech and language, occupational and physical therapy) and early childhood day treatment. This collaboration offers children with disabilities the opportunity to have additional services embedded within their day. Fraser School can also collaborate with school district special education services.

As a quality childcare center, Fraser School® strives to maintain child-to-staff ratios based upon criteria set forth by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation. We strive to maintain these ratios:
Infants 3:1 ratio
Toddlers 5:1 or 6:1 ratio
Preschool 6:1 or 7:1 ratio group size
Prekindergarten 8:1 ratio
Fraser School® services include
  • infant and toddler care
  • preschool
  • prekindergarten (kindergarten readiness)
  • extended care
  • subsidized childcare
  • information and referral for services for children with autism, mental health needs, or intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • collaborations with other programs serving Fraser School children

Fraser School® uses The Creative Curriculum as the primary written curriculum in all classrooms. The curriculum is based upon child development research, and it guides Fraser staff in planning the classroom learning environments. It is geared toward the specific age groups served at Fraser School®, is play-based and developmentally appropriate for all children, regardless of ability.

We also use part of the Incredible Years social-emotional curriculum for preschool and prekindergarten classrooms.
